In Animal Kingdom, Pocahontas is one of the most popular characters for guests to meet. For her permanent meet and greet location on Discovery Island's boat dock, we told the story of Pocahontas adventuring to new lands with with her canoe and some sentimental items. To welcome her, the land's natives gifted her with a hand-woven tapestry with Native American imagery on a birch frame, as well as baskets of apples and corn.

   Sometimes, as a surprise, John Smith and Meeko come out to play too!

   For this experience, I designed the backdrop & frame, designed props, sourced props & foliage, and art-directed the install. See below for the original concept rendering I illustrated, overlayed over a photo of the space.
