Throughout almost all of 2018 and spring of 2019, I was the art director for two Indonesian dark rides from late concept, design, production, to spending 4 months as the on-site art director in Bali and Jakarta kicking off the installation of scenic elements on site.

 

   These rides opened in late 2019 and have unique immersive concepts that have never before been seen in any dark rides before - stunt performers for Road Rage, and walkthrough immersive theater for Pacific Rim! We're proud of what we accomplished with such a small team with limited time & budget.

My responsibilities included:

- Vision-keeper for the visual creative intent of the attraction

- Client & vendor relationships; presentation design & public speaking
- Art direction for both final SD packages which included plans, elevations, and color/material callouts, in collaboration with the creative director

- Coordination & integration of creative and technical/operational elements during production, kept within budget

- Compilation & update of both full-ride creative scope books
- Art direction for both graphics packages
- Art direction for both set dressing and interactive elements packages
- Insuring adherence to brand guidelines for IP-related show sets
- Providing oversight and direction to scenic vendors on site during installation, including a 4-month deployment in Indonesia to provide guidance to vendors in-field for ROAD RAGE; scenic kick-off and executive presentations for PACIFIC RIM.
